insight into management with hannah and sarah - fun. i can't sell boilers to save my life, but it was all good. except for when we heard about the bombings in London. there was a strange mind - numbing moment when he told us and we all sat there, frozen. my hands went cold and i think i was shaking, everyone round our table was silent, then people started getting their mobiles and calling people somewhat frantically. someone cried when they couldn't get through. my phone being back in my room i had to wait till lunchtime to phone my auntie who was ok. the course carried on as normal after that. we had a lecture and some more group sessions in the afternoon and a really long evening of a fair (trying to persuade people to buy boliers from our company) then a dance. i'm going down to london in a couple of weeks for work experience at the law courts. yes, i'm going on the train, yes i'll be using the underground.
then i've been in Italy (yes i DID tell you, Jenny. on the phone. twice.) which was hot. and i got sun burnt which hasn't happened before, and i'm not too impressed with to be honest. wierd tan lines and the like. the various churches with mosaces were stunning - although a question arose in St. Marcs square which begs to be asked so people like Liz can reply. do you nbot have pidgeons in other countries? what is their appeal? they're dirty and icky and carry diseases, so why is it people are quite happy for their kids to be covered in the birds holding bird-seed? there's a saying over here : clean up Leeds - eat a pidgeon.
hope you all have good summers etc etc.
